Our Presenters

Another one of our amazing local presenters from across the globe! He left the UK for the Middle East, but he just couldn’t leave Portsmouth behind! An experienced local musician and performer, his “Food for thought” and music that encompasses everything from the “Classics for Jurassics” to the latest new releases. “Adam in the Afternoon” really is MORE than it says on the tin!

Alan was born in Hollywood (in Worcestershire in the United Kingdom) and is one of our most famous voices as he is THE voice of the balls on The National Lottery! Also, he is easily recognised as the voice on “Strictly Come Dancing” and the American counterpart of “Dancing with the Stars”! Now this most prestigious voice graces the airwaves with Radio Victory as the presenter on The Sunday Supplement show from 10AM till 12PM!

Dance teacher turned Spin Sister! Bringing you all the best love songs for those oh-so romantic weekends in!

Local boy, Anton Darby, is another one of our original presenters (since 1976!) He did a bit of a stint (30 years) in TV as a production guru, but Radio Victory was always close to his heart! Now with his revamped show from the 80s and the same unflappable, relaxed personality, you are guaranteed to have a smooth, chilled out Sunday afternoon…exactly how a Sunday afternoon should be!

Bob has an extensive history in the local music scene as well as further afield, and his musical talent does not end in spinning discs either… he is a talented musician and singer in his own right and when the feeling takes over he has even been known to go gigging with his band! 

When not searching for rare and obscure records from the 1970s and 80s at record fairs, David can be found locked away in his studio tinkering with audio and music for his various projects. He still thinks digital watches are a pretty neat idea, and cats, gadgets and Formula 1 rank highly on his list of favourite things.

Why only pick one favourite decade show to present when you can pick two! So you too, can choose to relive every genre from the Psychedelic 70s or the Neon 80s!

Jamie takes the reins on The Late Show on Friday from Steve Madden, adding his own DJ’ing spin on the popular smooth music show and letting Steve enjoy a night off each week! In addition to this, Jamie presents The Saturday Show from 10AM until 12PM with a well-balanced mix of music and chat. So, whatever you are doing, let Jamie entertain you over the weekend!

John was on the original Radio Victory back in the day, and then went on to have a brilliant career in radio across the South Coast, before moving into TV, ultimately ending up in New York working for a number of global news channels as a journalist

Matt C maybe the 'new kid on the block' but he has a lifetime of loving and playing music both with instruments and also with whatever tech device he can get his hands on!

Neil joined the original Victory in 1983 to present the early evening show, before moving to London to work at LBC. In the intervening years he’s worked with some of the biggest names in radio and TV (including Mr Blobby!) He’s travelled the world hosting conferences and events, and now having settled on the South Coast again, he hosts Victory’s Weekend Breakfast shows and the Tuesday evening Soul, Motown and Northern Soul show - SoulTown.

Radio was one of my first loves, and Radio Victory which started in 1975 was one of the UK's first ILR commercial radio stations. I used to listen to Victory when I grew up in Fareham and many of the old stalwarts and other incredible talent are there, so getting back behind a microphone feels both exciting and slightly dangerous.

A legend for the Legends – every Thursday from 8PM! For every rebranding, re-envisioning and rebranding of Radio Victory – Pete has always been there, a firm and favourite member of the team both iconic and unique – but soothingly familiar – just like the music he plays! What a Legend!

Richard Latto is a broadcaster and producer with more than two decades' experience in television and radio. Radio Victory is proud (and lucky!) to have Steve Madden as one of our presenters, famous across television and radio, including both BBC 1 & 2 television channels and the BBC’s World Service radio service amongst many others! He now graces “The Late Show” from 9-11PM every Monday through Thursday, making late weekday evenings a true pleasure!

Stuart is another presenter that just can't get enough of the radio show bug! Stuart always plays the best rhythms to really get you pumped up, whether it's a weekday or a weekend!
