LOCAL Radio….LOCAL News
Radio Victory prides itself as being part of Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. Our DAB serves the City well, but our app listening expands our broadcast area throughout Hampshire, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight and allows listeners to tune in anywhere in the UK, or for that matter, the World! However, our roots and identity are closer to home, and that's why we felt we had to have local news. So now our programming is enhanced with bulletins on the half hour throughout the morning, and the Drivetime Show has local news updates at 17:30 and 18:30 to keep us local.

Louise Fraser
Louise started her journalism career after qualifying from Highbury College, Cosham. She worked in Southampton for a while before moving to the Press Office in a London Borough Council. Helen Wheeler
Helen has lived in the Portsmouth area for 22 years and has been a Radio Victory listener since its inception. Helen felt passionately that Victory lacked local news and contacted MD Bob Bruce. They hatched a plan together, and Helen led the launch of the Radio Victory Newsroom. She is herself no stranger to the news desk, having worked for various newspapers, including the Western Morning News, the now defunct Radio Plymouth and BBC Local Radio.
Leah Halsey
Leah Halsey is currently a student at the University of Winchester studying Sports Journalism. She has played sports her whole life, but now in her twenties specialises in motorsport and netball as a broadcaster and content creator.
