Radio Victory is THE iconic station of the South coast, originally broadcasting from Fratton Road in Portsmouth way back in 1975.
With names and personalities from all incarnations of Radio Victory over the years still being involved with Victory, it is therefore hardly surprising that the current owner and board members were themselves broadcasters and presenters from the earlier years.
The management team have a strong local bond, with all members either living in the Portsmouth area or who were originally from here, which enhances their deep connection to the area, and its history and good causes. Connecting our listeners with all the local news, events, businesses, charities and local talent from all walks of local life!
In short, Radio Victory is THE hub for the local community to connect to content that resonates with them on a personal level in a variety of easy-to-access ways.
Radio Victory offers excellent value for money for those local companies etc. that wish to advertise on the radio and they can be safe in the knowledge that any company selected to advertise with us is hand-picked from the many that WANT to advertise on our station, and that only those that resonate with our ongoing passion to connect relevant and needed local businesses with our all important local community will be accepted – with a strong emphasis on small to medium local independent businesses.
Any relevant local businesses that are a good fit for our listeners also have the option to pop in for a “chat” with one of our presenters to get their personal message reinforced in the minds of our listeners. We are even available for special events – rolling out the Victory Van and broadcasting live at outdoor venues such as youth sports presentations & charity fundraisers as well as the seasonal events like Easter, Halloween, or the ever popular Christmas-related events.
If our local community needs us to be there, then that’s where we will be!
Our management team donate their time and collective expertise to ensure ALL of this happens and CAN happen without a hitch as much as possible. Our management team take great pride in ensuring the station has what it needs when it needs it to continue being the best radio station on the South coast.
They are the frontline in connecting with and vetting who appears on our station, ensuring a perfect fit with the most important people of all…our listeners.
